With effect from 8th May for existing customers British Gas has reduced the cost of Click Energy 5. The reduction applies to electricity only and ranges from averages 4.36% across the UK with the best savings in the SWALEC region where the saving is a massive 12.19%.

Scottish and Southern the UK Energy company who operate the brands, Atlantic Electric and Gas, Scottish Hydro Electric, Southern Electric and SWALEC today announced a price increase all four brands. The increase averages 14.43% on electricity and 15.58% on gas. The new prices can be found on our platform now.

From a position of being the one of the cheapest online tariffs in the UK up until the 8th January, Click Energy from British Gas has decided to cease selling Click Energy 4 and introduce Click Energy 5. Along with the name change comes a price increase which in the case of Click Energy 5 for a domestic consumer this is averaging 18.58% across the UK for dual fuel standard customers paying by monthly direct debit.

EDF Energy has today announced a price increase applicable to residential customers effective from 18th January 2008. The increases are 12.9% for gas and 7.9% for electricity. EDF Energy are the second major energy supplier to introduce a double digit price increase in domestic energy during 2008.

In line with the rules surrounding this tariff, British Gas has announced an increase at its first quarterly review of its Market Tracker tariff. The increase averages 15.03% on gas and 15.21% on electricity across all fourteen UK distribution areas.
